A gotta-be-there moment for families
There’s a Book Fair celebrity coming to Family Events this season for a live virtual visit! Pete Oswald, the illustrator of the Food Group series will read from The Sour Grape, show kids how to draw a character from the story, and answer your students’ questions. It’s a next-level Book Fair experience families will never forget.
Pete will appear live via Scholastic’s virtual read-aloud platform, Storyvoice, on these can’t-miss dates:

Thursday, May 2, at 6pm ET
How to host
1. Schedule a Family Event for one of the showtimes above.
2. Invite families to your Family Event using the printable invitation, email, or social media. (See below!) Remind them to arrive before the 6pm ET start time.
3. Get ready for storytime! Secure a projector or SMART Board, print the activity sheet, and gather markers or color pencils.
4. On the day of your Family Event, visit storyvoice.scholastic.com and project the website* onto a large screen so all your kids and their families can read and draw with Pete.
5. Before and after the show, make sure that families have time to shop the Fair with kids.
