HUNTERS OF THE NIGHT
By: Elaine Landau
While we sleep, many animals fly stalk or slither in the dark to find their next meal. Raccoons live in hollow trees, under decks or empty buildings. They turn over trash cans looking for their next meal. Owls prowl for other animals like squirrels, rabbits and mice which they eat whole! Bats are the most fascinating night creatures and are important to the environment. They are all survivors-many living more than 20 years. This is a title for all curious kids and teachers.
